Answer

hi Thomas,

The complete answer will depend on the type of item you are citing (book, article, website, etc.). Here are a couple of links to online citation guides fro MLA that might help:

http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/

http://www.dianahacker.com/resdoc/p04_c08_o.html

I kind of like the second one because it has a drop down menu you can use to choose the type of this you need to cite and get an example. It doesn't give as much explantion though.

I hope these can get you headed in the right direction. Please ask a follow-up or stop by the library if you need additional infromation to get your citations completed.

thanks,

Beth McMahon
