Answer

This is not an error with your technology, this is a proxy issue.

First: Please notify the library so that we are aware of the issue and can contact IT Services. You can reach us at 641-628-5171 or 641-628-5219. Thanks!

In the mean time, there is a method to getting around the problem.

When you click on the database you want to open and you see the message "no data received", select the URL.

For example: "http://proxy.central.edu:2048/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.asp?profile=web&defaultdb=aph" (the url for Academic Search Premier). If you delete the first section of the URL before the second HTTP (http://proxy.central.edu:2048/login?url=) and then hit enter, you can override the proxy and get into the databases.
